Description

• This contract position is open to applicants in the US and Canada. • Kanopi Studios is a Design, Development & Support Agency with a fully distributed team of experts in Drupal & WordPress. • We design, build and support websites that help our clients’ missions thrive. • We are seeking a talented Contract Senior Website Visual Designer (UX/UI) to join our Creative Services team. • The role requires impeccable design skills, knowledge of UX research techniques and the ability to craft strategic deliverables. • This is a great opportunity for a creative, eloquent, and organized designer to make a large impact. • This is a fully remote position and reports to the Director of Strategy and Creative. • You can expect to generate end-to-end visual design collateral, develop strategic UX deliverables, lead discovery workshops, and collaborate with other teams.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio showcasing your understanding of user-centered, responsive UI/UX design for websites. • 5+ years of professional experience designing responsive and mobile website products. • 3+ years of experience working within an agency setting. • Familiarity with design and communications tools including Figma, FigJam, Adobe Creative Cloud, Slack, and Google suite of tools. • Expertise in Google Analytics (GA4), heatmapping tools, and user testing platforms. • Capability to communicate ideas to a wide range of audiences while incorporating constructive feedback. • Comfortable working remotely within a distributed team. • Comfortable working in both waterfall and agile environments. • Able to manage multiple projects with evolving requirements. • Familiarity with front-end web design practices and coding is a plus but not required. • Experience with mission-driven and nonprofit clients is a plus. • Have a passion for the web, open-source development, and working with a community of fun, humorous folks!
