• Assist the Accountant Manager in all aspects of General Accounting, Payroll and Employee Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting and Accounts Payable. • Ensure proper recording of Journal entries in assigned area of responsibility • Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring timely, adequate, and complete reconciliations • Responsible for daily cost accounting review of move task orders for accuracy within the general ledger. • Assist with the monthly close process preparing or approving month-end journal entries and participate in resolving potential issues • Provide monthly/quarterly reports and analysis to internal & external auditors. • Maintain adequate documentation in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and assessments. • Work to identify technology, excel shortcuts, and other potential enhancements to enable best practices in financial processes. • Ensure compliance of HomeSafe accounting policies, business practices. • Perform various ad-hoc analyses and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field. • 5+ years general ledger accounting experience. • Strong understanding of GAAP, FAR, CAS and DCAA regulations • Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements. • Self-starter/proactive, expected to take initiative to research issues and provide solutions • Detail-oriented and highly organized • Ability to deliver under tight deliverable deadlines • Leadership capability and excellent communication, presentation, verbal and written skills • Must have the ability to work well with others (both within the team and cross-functionally • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of Costpoint and EPM preferred.
