Description

• A rewarding, challenging, and unparalleled 10-week summer internship experience • Professional & technical developmental learning opportunities • An Intern "Summit" at HQ filled with in-person onboarding, networking, team meetings and team building activities • 1:1 Mentorship from an experienced KCF Mentor • Completion of a real-world impact statement project, presented to executive leadership at KCF • Gain confidence in marketing yourself and your work • Broaden your network of like-minded, driven individuals & sharpen your skillset alongside innovative leaders in your field • Deploy and manage Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud resources. • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform. • Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. • Develop automation tools and scripts to boost Engineering productivity. • Interface with Engineering teams to provide infrastructure to support applications. • Update legacy infrastructure and servers to conform with current best practices. • Perform Linux system administration tasks.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other related degree program, entering their Junior or Senior year. • Successful completion of mid-level courses in Computer Programming. • Previous experience with AWS or another major cloud provider is a plus! • Familiarity with command line tools • Understanding of Linux system administration and Networking concepts. • Knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, Bash scripting, etc.) • Interest in cloud computing technology. • Able to study cloud provider documentation and source code to develop an understanding of the existing systems and tools • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Able to operate in a team environment with other DevOps and Software Engineers. • Strong organization and attention-to-detail. • Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful and inventive
