📋 Description

• Responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications by performing functional testing and automating repetitive test cases. • Lead and perform functional, regression, system, and acceptance testing efforts for complex software applications. • Design and manage comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for multiple projects. • Conduct exploratory testing and ensure thorough test coverage for new features and bug fixes. • Collaborate closely with development, product, and UX teams to understand requirements and ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC. • Manage defect triaging, prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects. • Lead and perform the development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts using industry-standard tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc. • Define automation strategies to identify high-priority test cases for automation and continuously improve automation coverage. • Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure it is seamlessly executed as part of the software release cycle. • Analyze and optimize existing automated test scripts to ensure efficiency and accuracy. • Train and mentor junior team members in automated testing methodologies and best practices. • Develop and enforce robust test strategies that align with business objectives and quality goals. • Ensure detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports, are up-to-date and align with best practices. • Provide regular reports on testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness. • Manage test environments, ensuring they are configured and maintained to support efficient testing. • Lead and coordinate testing efforts across multiple teams in an Agile environment, ensuring smooth communication and alignment with development, DevOps, and product management teams. • Actively participate in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies. • Guide and mentor junior QA testers, helping them grow their skills in manual and automated testing. • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, introducing new tools and practices to enhance the overall QA effectiveness.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manual and functional testing of web applications, with at least 3 years focused on automated testing. • Proven experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or similar. • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA processes within Agile environments. • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar. • Deep knowledge of testing best practices, methodologies, and the ability to apply them to complex applications. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to quality assurance. • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex testing strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Adaptability to new technologies and methodologies, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
