Description

• Responsible for design and configuration of the Alation Data Catalog • Improve efficiency of analysts in finding and using data • Champion data catalog program and drive engagement • Work with Data Owners to identify critical data elements • Support technical integration efforts with enterprise systems • Design and develop workflows to automate data processes • Troubleshoot and resolve Alation issues • Provide thought leadership on data management concepts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in related field • 5+ years’ experience in data governance or management roles • Strong understanding of data catalogs and capabilities • Hands-on experience with data catalog tools like Alation or similar • Experience onboarding technical and functional metadata from various sources • Understanding of cloud technologies like GCP, Azure, or AWS • Intermediate SQL skills and foundational database knowledge • Familiar with data quality practices
