Description

• Kickstarter is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer II to join our team. • Play a key role in driving the technical direction of the Kickstarter platform. • Write well-tested software that meets product, design, and operational criteria. • Estimate task complexity and guide team execution of large to extra-large projects. • Identify and propose technical project opportunities and suggest process improvements. • Participate in group code reviews for all changes to Kickstarter mobile systems. • Participate in the on-call rotation for continuous availability of services. • Pair with and provide growth feedback to junior teammates.

Requirements

• Deep, extensive professional experience in Android development and with Java, Kotlin, and GraphQL. • Enjoy working collaboratively, participating in team discussions, planning and software design. • Excellent communication and time management skills. • Experience mentoring other engineers, including pair programming and knowledge sharing. • Designing and building performant and scalable systems. • Working iteratively and maintaining live products. • Pragmatic approach to writing well-tested, maintainable code. • Love writing tests to ensure high-quality software and experiences. • Consider the broader impacts of your work. • Value sharing knowledge, personal growth, and improving engineering practices. • Empathize with creators and the challenges of bringing projects to life.
