• The responsibilities of the Engineer, Infrastructure Engineering role include assisting in the ongoing design and maintenance of the standard desktop platform, • This role includes application packaging, compatibility testing, deployment testing, and hardware management using vendor tools. • The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving desktop/platform-related issues and providing enterprise class solutions. • Candidates must be self-starters who can work independently. • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service are highly preferred. • Deploy, administer, maintain, and upgrade environments which are used in the support of desktop systems (virtual and physical, Win/MAC), associated support tools and applications. • Evaluate, communicate, and deployment of global configuration changes for corporate owned workstations • Configure, package, test and maintain desktop application software, as appropriate. • Develop, evaluate, and plan process automation for desktop and systems administrative functions and monitoring for a majority remote workforce. • Update, create, and maintain detailed documentation for tools and systems. • Analyze, deploy, monitor, and report MS and 3rd Party patching for enterprise vulnerability remediation. • Functions as the primary technical liaison between Infrastructure and other IT teams, vendors, partners, as well as the business to design Desktop/Infrastructure solutions. • Monitor the performance of the company's desktop infrastructure and make suggestions for improving efficiency. • Research, recommend, and implement solutions to improve and keep current the desktop experience. • Provides technical support to the Field Support Analysts.
• Active Directory, vulnerability patching, Ivanti EPM or SCCM, VMWare VCenter and Horizon View (VDI), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Enterprise AV and encryption applications. • 3+ years of hand-on desktop administration or engineering experience. • Windows PowerShell or Windows Scripting Host • Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects and tasks while delivering within required deadlines. • Strong MS Excel and data analytics experience • Develop, document, modify and train global IT personnel on enterprise computing process’ and standard operating procedures.
