📋 Description

We are looking for a Financial Accountant who will deliver financial results and reporting that meet the needs of Koala and external stakeholders. • Please note: This role operates on Pacific Standard Time (PST) to align with Koala’s needs. Candidates should also anticipate regular meetings outside of standard PST work hours during March-October, particularly during month-end closing processes, to collaborate effectively with the Sydney-based finance team. Flexibility is key to ensuring seamless communication and support across time zones. • Deliver accurate and timely financial results on a monthly basis. • Perform general ledger accounting tasks, such as journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. • Assist with accounts payable, including invoice processing and payments. • Ensure correct processing of inventory receipts. • Support Group team with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals. • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. • Assist with preparation of information for tax and other compliance requirements. • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies. • Assisting the team with ad-hoc projects, tasks and reports, as required. • Provide support during entity and/or group audits and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience in a global (or USA) manufacturing, eCommerce or retail industry • Degree qualified in accounting, finance or related field (preferred) • Current membership of an appropriate professional accounting organization (preferred) • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • Excellent working knowledge of Netsuite and Shopify • Bluesheets (or other AP automation tool) experience a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong attention to detail • Self-motivated and forward thinking • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
