Description

• Komoot is an app that lets you find, plan, and share adventures with its easy route planner. • Join our 100% remote team and start your adventure with komoot. • We’re looking for a marketing copywriter to join our versatile, collaborative, and impactful team. • This role will work with both brand and performance marketing teams in crafting delightful, on-brand, effective copy for a variety of channels and projects. • You’ll learn what inspires and drives customer behavior through testing, then use what you’ve learned to help shape our writing, strategy, and writing guidelines. • This is a dynamic role supporting two pillars of our marketing department. • As our first in-house copywriter working on performance marketing, you’ll contribute to team discussions on strategy and content ideas for paid social, search, app store, and other channels. • In everything you do, you’ll write high-performing copy and ensure our upbeat, casual, and inclusive brand voice shines through across our 11 languages. • You’ll also work with our localization manager to ensure that the right tone of voice, terminology, and testing intent are reflected in translations.

Requirements

• Have at least two years experience writing impeccable, multi-channel performance or marketing content in English for international brands. • Have a creative approach to editorial strategy, campaign concepting, and bringing brand personality to life. • Ground and balance your creative approach with data. You have experience with copy testing, KPIs, and data-driven decision making. You do your research to understand who you’re writing for and experiment to find out what works for them. • Are comfortable writing for translation, preparing localization briefs, and thinking through cultural idioms and expressions. • Are used to writing according to guidelines for style, brand voice, tone, and channel (i.e. character restrictions). • Have personal experience in outdoor sports, as well as some understanding of our outdoor enthusiast audience and their vocabulary. • Are organized and comfortable managing multiple workstreams, deadlines, and projects at the same time. • Are a team player and enjoy working collaboratively alongside designers, translators, and marketing managers. You’re comfortable giving and receiving feedback, and work with diverse teams to get buy-in on ideas. • Want to be part of a high-performing team where continuous improvement, collaboration, open feedback, and communication are encouraged.

Benefits

• Core Communication time between 10 am - 3 pm (Berlin Time). We know people have different lifestyles, which is why we have flexible working hours with core time for synchronous interaction. • We work on a project basis in cross functional teams to ensure that we collaborate on our goals, move forward smoothly with open lines of communication, and achieve results as a team. • Every Monday morning, we have a whole-company presentation where you hear about projects across the business, inspire each other, and share great work. • We connect in person at three whole-company gatherings each year in beautiful locations. You can check out this playlist to find out more about how we stay close while being remote. • We use tools like Trello, Slack, Miro, Zoom, and Google Workspace on a daily basis to stay connected, collaborate easily, and manage projects.
