📋 Description
• The Supplier Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of components and materials procured from external suppliers for aerospace manufacturing. • This role involves collaborating with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards, conducting thorough assessments and Special Process audits, implementing quality control processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and safety. • Knowledge of Special Processing in multiple commodities required or a combination of e.g. but not limited to Heat Treating, Metal Joining, Coatings, Chemical Processing, Non-conventional Machining, and Nondestructive Testing. • This role will have an emphasis on the Nondestructive Testing skill set.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. • Strong problem solving, RCCA and investigation experience. • Certified Quality Auditor strongly preferred and or Lead Auditor accreditation. • Ability to navigate and interpret data from Internal Data base systems, Nadcap eAuditNet, and or OASIS as applicable. • Prior Special Processing auditing experience.
