• Database Administrator (DBA) • POSITION SUMMARY • The Database Administrator will support Amazon Web Services (AWS), Linux and Windows environments, and Oracle, MSSQL Server, and RDS Aurora PostgreSQL Databases. The Database Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of the production lifecycle of maintenance, and administration, including but not limited to deployment automation, product release and support, running a scalable production environment for hosting the ARCOS platform, maintaining application/database availability and ensuring continuous 24x7 production uptime of our services. • The Database Administrator needs to be familiar with AWS, Oracle DB, Oracle Goldengate and DataGuard, Microsoft SQL Server DB (EC2 and RDS), PostgreSQL DB (RDS Aurora), Linux and Windows administration, and SaaS operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or the equivalent knowledge and experience or professional training. • Minimum 5 years of Oracle database administration experience, ideally in global management and operations of highly trafficked customer-facing applications. Experience working in a 24x7 SaaS environment is preferred. • Minimum 3 years of Oracle GoldenGate administration and implementation experience. • Minimum 3 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience. • Minimum 3 years of PostgreSQL experience. • Extensive experience with Linux systems administration and database performance tuning. • Experience with AWS, including migrations, deployments, automation, creating and modifying instances, and best practices in all major services they provide including but not limited to Networking, image management, computing, storage, monitoring, and RDS. • Knowledge of Oracle DB, GoldenGate, DataGuard, MSSQL Server, PostgreSQL, Jira, and Confluence. • Action-oriented, decisive approach to work is required, with the willingness to take a hands-on role when needed to ensure the deliverables are met on time. • Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues. • Experience working with database scripting including bash, ksh, PowerShell, and PL/SQL. • Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting. • Proven ability to work effectively with highly reliable and highly available mission-critical technologies with detail and results shown while meeting deadlines. • Ability to operate deploying automation, SaaS operations, internal and external SaaS infrastructure, security, and cost management. • Solid understanding of technical issues and opportunities related to modern cloud infrastructure and operations. • High energy, motivated self-starter with the ability to take direction and manage tasks with minimal supervision within an energized, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment. • Experience with international data sets is a plus. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Must be able to participate in 24x7 on-call responsibilities, maintaining the availability and performance of all customer-facing production & Cloud Operations services.
