• We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer with a passion for renewable energy to lead clients, projects, and portfolios as a Project Manager. • The Project Manager will work closely with our core renewables team and will manage project responsibilities of multi-discipline teams and projects throughout the northeast. • Qualified candidates will excel at contributing to all phases of Renewable Energy and other Civil Engineering projects including the development of schematic drawings, working within teams in a collaborative manner, producing effective and high-quality drawings to be issued for construction, steering projects through the municipal or state approval process, and supporting projects throughout construction as they progress to commissioning. • The ability to communicate effectively using verbal, graphic, and written means is paramount and a necessity for this position. • In addition, the Project Manager will assist with proposal writing and business development, and manage mid-level and entry-level staff. • Responsible for planning, scheduling, developing, coordinating, directing, and managing a variety of renewable energy projects and portfolios. • Preparing various types of related reports and studies and securing local approvals and permits for projects. • Contribute to marketing of the firm and development of new business by initiating relationships with new clients, maintaining relationships with current clients, and key individuals of other organizations and companies. • Developing and evaluating plans and criteria for renewable energy projects as well as planning and coordinating activities to be carried out by others including in-house engineers, designers, and surveyors and outside specialty consultants. • Develop an understanding of local/state jurisdictional requirements for utility-scale, distributed generation and behind-the-meter renewable energy applications.

Requirements

• Minimum requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering • 8+ years of civil engineering experience, including experience managing renewable energy projects. • Must be an effective presenter at Public Meetings. • Licensed Professional Engineer preferred. • Ideal candidate has the traits of a team player who is enthusiastic about all aspects of engineering and project management and can lead projects from planning and preliminary engineering through design and construction. • Must have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to relate well to project team and clients.
