Description

• As Data Architect, you will be responsible of LanguageWire’s efficient management and use of data. • As a technical leader you will define LanguageWire’s data vision and strategy including aspects like architecture, governance, compliance, etc. • Supported by our Senior Director of Technology, you will collaborate closely with our engineering teams to make this vision a reality by driving the data-related aspects of our roadmap, planning and delivering trainings to our engineering teams and supporting them in all their needs. • In parallel to that, you will need to support engineers in their data to day work. Technology selection, data modelling, query optimization, monitoring & troubleshooting issues, etc. are continuous needs that you will help teams with. • This means that you will need to balance your focus between long-term strategic initiatives, evangelization of our engineering teams and more tactical day-to-day support.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) • Good knowledge of cloud services (Azure & GCP) and DevOps engineering • Solid data modelling skills, including conceptual, logical and physical models. • Experience with Data Warehousing (BigQuery, SnowFlake, Databricks, …) • Experience with Orchestration technology (Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, …) • Experience with Data Lakes and Data Warehouses • You stand out as a trusted leader and respected mentor in your team. • Excellent communicator able to create engagement and commitment from teams around you • You love solving complex puzzles with engineers from different areas and different backgrounds • You’re eager to understand how the different areas of the ecosystem connect to create the complete value chain • Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking)
