Description
• Become an expert in our domain - Gain a deep understanding of our business and processes; build strong relationships and trust with stakeholders; and recognize the biggest opportunities • Create the pathway - Evolve the necessary infrastructure to support the data science initiatives, defining data structures & pipelines, gathering & processing data, building essential tools, etc. Design, deploy in production, evaluate, and optimize data-driven models and analytical solutions, considering the behavior of customers, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders • Drive growth - Actively collaborate on the creation and optimization of models that deliver the best offers to customers and efficient resource allocation for order fulfillment. Monitor key metrics, validate hypotheses, share insights, and provide recommendations. Contribute to decision-making and definition of requirements within the product and across the organization • Make customers the core - Put customers at the center of your initiatives, understanding their needs and deriving data science initiatives that will deliver real value to them • Build the future - Create the foundations for future initiatives involving forecast models, AI, etc
Requirements
• 3+ years of practical work experience (not only academic) in quantitative analysis and statistical methods, including time series, hypothesis testing, clustering, regression analysis, forecasting, etc • Completed studies (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Statistics, or related fields • Sound knowledge of programming, Optimization problems, ML, Python data science stack (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow), SQL, and cloud technologies (preferably GCP, AWS) • Impressive problem-solving skills and critical mindset. Capable of breaking down complex issues, identifying patterns, analyzing intricate scenarios, conducting tests, and deriving effective actions • Enjoy working on a complex product while being entirely passionate about technology and the digitalization of the traditional manufacturing industry. You challenge the status quo every day and strive to improve our products and processes • Great written and verbal communication skills in English. Good German is desired. You are well-structured and able to interact with stakeholders inside and outside the company
