• Lead technical design of major system components, improve availability, security and scalability of the platform and its services • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and measures to protect against data loss, unauthorized access, and other security threats • Uphold quality standards by performing code reviews, fixing bugs, creating automated tests, and monitoring performance • Build, manage, and improve security capabilities to improve League’s security posture • Develop and maintain tooling following Infrastructure as Code practices • Mentor other team members on design techniques and coding standards • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
• 5+ years of relevant work experience • Experience with Cloud Providers - GCP preferred • Experience with configuration management/infrastructure as code tools - Terraform preferred • Experience with container orchestration systems - Kubernetes preferred • Experience implementing Cloud security best practices • Experience administering Cloud security tools including CSPM and CWPP • Experience with container hardening • Familiarity with common security threats and vulnerabilities, including knowledge of mitigation strategies • You know how to write high-quality and testable code in Python, Go, or other languages • Experience working with automation in critical production environments, ensuring their reliability • Experience with Linux operating systems internals: capabilities, filesystems, networking, etc • Experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) and release orchestration • Experience analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems • Experience with SQL/NoSQL Databases • Certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, AWS Certified Specialty - Security, or CCSP are beneficial
