Description
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents • Conduct legal research to support the development of cases • Collaborate with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings • Develop a case theme that is more than a summation of the evidence • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings • Support the team by creating legal resources for use by other attorneys
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Pre-Law, or a related field • Proven experience as a legal writer, demand writer, or in a similar role • Strong understanding of legal principles, including personal injury and property damage laws • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly • Familiarity with demand letter formats, legal terminology, and citation styles • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
