📋 Description

• We have an IMMEDIATE NEED for Field Service Engineer to provide technical support for the development, test, deployment, sustainment and quality assurance of a complex telecommunication system. • As a Field Service Engineer on this program, you will be a member of a team that interacts with technical and non-technical teammates, including customers and vendors. • In this role, you will be required to conduct surveys, assist with the designing of installation packages, conducting equipment and cable installations, administer configurations, providing technical assistance, supporting commissioning testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues associated with the various network elements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 4+ years of prior relevant experience • Experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable • Must have an active Secret security clearance • Experience with surveys, installations, pulling and terminating cable, determining, and implementing required pin outs, installing, and configuring Ciena equipment, cards power supplies, racks, patch panels, etc. • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and 6 years of related experience in installation such as BICSI or Telcordia • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and oral communication skills • Must be always responsive to all customer issues and requests • Must be willing & able to travel at short notice • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform other installation activities • Must be able to obtain DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (such as CompTIA Security+ CE) certification within a year from start date • Ability to work in a team focused, fast paced, dynamic environment
