Description

• Ambient improves apartment living and management through technology • Seeking Senior Backend Engineer for platform integrations • Work with Python and Golang on complex problems • Contribute code and product ideas from the start • Use of AWS, Postgres and others in technology stack • Architect and implement services including core API and vendor integrations • Own the full lifecycle of development including testing and deployment • Interact with various engineering and product teams • Automate testing and review pull requests daily

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Python and proficiency in various Python libraries and frameworks • Experience with distributed systems • Prior experience in a true Senior Software Engineering role (i.e. a high-level of proficiency in your area, the ability to work independently and capacity to mentor more junior team members) • Solid experience with integrations and the ability to quickly get up to speed on on new APIs • A deep understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals • A preference for simple yet fully functional and extensible solutions • Ability to quickly iterate without compromising on quality • Experience with FastAPI and Pydantic • Experience with Golang • Experience with Docker, Kafka and AWS services (EKS, Lambda, IoT, etc.) • Data storage-related experience or familiarity with PostgreSQL
