Description

• As the Controller, manage and oversee daily accounting and financial operations. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. • Support financial planning and analysis. • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. • Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting procedures. • Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts. • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts to provide insights and corrective action recommendations. • Develop financial forecast and reporting mechanisms for portfolio companies. • Assist in financial clean-up post-acquisition and monitor post-acquisition financial performance. • Track key financial metrics and performance indicators. • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. • Prepare and present regular financial updates to senior management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, internal controls, and operations management. • Experience working within small companies and/or startups. • Proven experience in managing accounting functions, budgeting, and financial analysis. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders. • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. • Experience with financial systems, software, and process improvements. • Ability to travel on occasion. • CPA preferred.
