• Actively participate in the preparation, analysis and submission of Medicaid/Medicare cost reports • Complete settlement accruals based on interim cost reports • Support management in all reimbursement related matters for assigned facilities. • Reviews, or prepares monthly revenue and contractual adjustment accruals. • Updates Medicare rate assumptions, investigates payment discrepancies. • Coordinates audits of assigned facilities. • Responds to proposed audit adjustments. • Reconciles reimbursement settlement accounts • Assists management in development of policies, procedures, reports and other tools to improve work product. • May prepare various financial or statistical analyses, reconciliations, research, or other special projects as necessary
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, systems or other degree preferred or with equivalent in years of experience. • 3-5 years cost reporting and third-party accounting experience • Knowledge of GAAP accounting. • Excellent analytical skills. • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
