📋 Description

• LightEdge Solutions is developing the IT solutions that will propel businesses forward over the next 10 years. • Using a combination of shared and private/dedicated platforms, LightEdge has been successful in offering businesses alternatives that streamline operations, improve reliability and reduce costs. • If you are passionate about creating real solutions that help businesses with cutting-edge technology, want to be challenged to think out of the box and be in a position where you can impact change on a daily basis, then LightEdge can offer you a dynamic corporate environment built on teamwork and personal responsibility. • The AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud Engineer works within the AWS Operations team and is responsible for supporting Lightedge customers that use the AWS platform. • The incumbent will implement custom solutions to fit customer needs while clearly documenting, strategically planning, and effectively executing. • The position requires verbal and written communication with customers, vendors and Lightedge personnel. • The position may require working off hours (including holidays and weekends) in support of projects and upgrades. • A successful candidate has strong experience with AWS services, is self-driven, enjoys learning new technologies, and is willing to stretch themselves to become a stronger engineer and mentor others around them to do the same.

🎯 Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a System Administrator or DevOps background having previously worked with a Managed Service Provider • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an associate degree or equivalent work experience • 3-5 years of system infrastructure design and implementation experience • 5-7+ years of hands-on AWS experience or equivalent • 1-2+ years of cloud scripting or equivalent • AWS compute and platform services such as virtual machines, containers, SQL server and application services • Demonstrated proficiency with one or more scripting or programing languages (Python, Terraform, CDK/Cloud Formation and JSON preferred) • The ability to work in both a collaborative and independent atmosphere, be able to think outside of the box to creatively problem solve issues for clients. • Experience working in an agile environment with the ability to quickly change priorities as required by client demands • Good communication skills, integrity and excellent organization skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time • Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration systems (EKS/ECS) • Initiative and problem solving skills: If you don’t know how to do something you consider it a challenge to try to figure it out for yourself • AWS Certifications (Professional/Specialty level desired) • Experience with AWS GenAI solutions (e.g. Bedrock, SageMaker, etc.) • Experience with Modernization of AWS services • Experience with large data projects (e.g. Datalakes etc.) • Background in Networking and/or Security
