📋 Description
• Write breaking news stories based on company announcements and third-party content • Aggregate third-party content using smart news judgment, adding insights from and contributing to Reorg’s extensive collection of databases • Support a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts, and lawyers • Adopt Octus’s editorial standards, workflows, and processes in a timely manner • Be all-in on the company’s AI roadmap by writing earnings and other intel using our proprietary AI tool • Provide crossover support between regions when necessary in order to provide 24/7 coverage • As needed, help monitor domestic press releases, SEC filings and other sources for key and topical developments. This support will ensure Octus is the first to unearth information on sub investment grade credit markets including high yield, distressed debt, and restructuring situations
🎯 Requirements
• Excellent written English and communication skills • Top-notch news writing and time management • Strong news sense and judgment, with experience or an interest in financial news and markets • Curious and proactive approach to learning the role • Able to manage and prioritize numerous projects simultaneously while working to tight deadlines • Change mindset and willingness to adapt as content objectives evolve • You will be required to cover shift work during the week, occasionally working earlier mornings (with notice) or additional hours to ensure we break news before our competitors • You will be required to work at least partial US east coast hours, with a start time as early as 6am EST. • Experience with Monday.com and/or other project management programs is a plus
