📋 Description
• This is a remote position. • LocalEyes Group is a leading provider of Localization Services to the international computer and software sectors with headquarters in Ireland and subsidiaries in Europe. • Specific responsibilities include marketing and IT translations, linguistic review and QA, checking of terminology consistency through the management of TMs, glossaries and style guides to guarantee the quality of deliverables. • This project is ongoing with a start date to be determined (approximately 1 week advanced notice will be given before the first start date). • This work is based on project need. Hours can therefore vary and flexibility with a changing schedule is very important. There might be full days of work in a row several times per year.
🎯 Requirements
• Native in Danish with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experience • IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools • Preferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading of the required field (marketing and IT) • Editorial and/or journalistic skills and up-to-date with language and terminology trends • Excellent written and spoken English to truly understand the meaning and translate as if it were originally written in target language • Well familiar with US American culture and pop culture in order to recognise the author's play on words or visual references and able to adequately localize into target language • Obsessed by the detail, quality-driven and has a passion for languages • Understanding and attitude to work within a confidential environment • Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with multiple changes in project priorities and tight deadlines • Available to travel as the business calls • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Good availability, potentially at least 4 hours per day and quick response times
