• Company Overview • At Lockwood Publishing, we bring people together through Avakin Life, one of the world’s largest and most engaging metaverses. • As pioneers in creating immersive 3D social experiences, we empower millions of players to play, share, and socialize. • Our innovative and creative environment fosters collaboration, and we offer competitive benefits, including an employee share scheme. • We’re now looking for a talented and forward-thinking Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in scaling and optimizing the cloud infrastructure that powers our player experiences. • Role Overview • As a Cloud Engineer at Lockwood Publishing, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure. • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance services, build automated pipelines, and ensure smooth operation of backend services. • The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, and continuous improvement. • Key Responsibilities • Provision, monitor, maintain, and scale secure and highly available cloud infrastructure. • Optimize cloud infrastructure performance and ensure systems are secure and resilient. • Build and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. • Implement efficient deployment strategies to enhance release processes. • Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize cloud-hosted databases. • Ensure database performance and availability through proactive monitoring and tuning. • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations to drive efficiency. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and services. • Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure infrastructure meets business and player needs. • Diagnose and resolve complex network and system issues in a Linux environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, RDS, and container services like Kubernetes or AWS ECS. • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS SDK. • Strong understanding of building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity. • In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, TCP troubleshooting, and network routing. • Strong troubleshooting skills to maintain and optimize cloud services. • Familiarity with software development processes and best practices. • Strong understanding of how web applications and the internet function at scale. • Proactive problem-solving mindset and a passion for automation. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
