Description

•Loyal is seeking a Biostatistician to support FDA submissions and analyze studies for drug approval. •Work closely with senior statisticians, biologists, and clinicians for statistical analyses. •Support experimental design using simulation- and equation-based power and sample size analyses. •Collaborate with data engineers and clinical research teams for data collection and infrastructure. •Contribute to documentation for regulatory agencies, including study protocols and statistical analysis plans.

Requirements

•MS in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field •2+ years of relevant experience as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry (or medical research) •Experience designing, powering, and analyzing preclinical and clinical studies •Comfort with the following statistical techniques: generalized linear models, longitudinal data analysis (mixed effects models), survival analysis, simulation and formula based power analyses •Proficiency in R (or python) and version control (git) experience •Experience with reproducible report writing (e.g., quarto, RMarkdown, or Jupyter notebooks) •Experience writing for regulatory submissions as well as for academic publications •Able to communicate/interpret complex statistical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences •Understanding of basic concepts of aging biology •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills •Ability to work in dynamic, cross-functional teams •Familiarity with Google Workspace applications (e.g., Sheets, Slides, etc.)
