• LoyaltyLion is a data-driven loyalty and engagement platform trusted by thousands of ecommerce brands worldwide. • Merchants use LoyaltyLion when they want a loyalty program that is proven to increase customer engagement, retention and spend. • Stores using LoyaltyLion typically generate at least $15 for every $1 they spend on the platform. • Today, LoyaltyLion works with over 10,000 small and medium sized retailers. • Our mission is to help them succeed in the age of Amazon, where they may not be able to compete on price and logistics but can offer a better customer experience. • Experience where customers feel valued, rather than just another number. • It's been an incredible few years for LoyaltyLion. • We closed funding of $12.5m in 2021 and another $12m in 2022. • We’ve built out our Leadership team, amongst other key senior hires and we continue to set our sights high. • We've achieved spots in both the Deloitte Fast 50 and the FT1000. • We are the no.1 in loyalty management in the world or where we've been voted No. 8 in the Best UK Software 2024 list... • As an Engineering Lead at LoyaltyLion, you will guide a team to develop elegant, performant, maintainable, operable, and secure applications. • Your responsibilities will include designing and architecting our systems while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in engineering excellence. • You will lead your team to achieve high standards, making both the team and the applications the best they can be. • Delivering clean, architecturally sound, and maintainable full-stack code. • Collaborating with Product Management and other stakeholders to rapidly build, measure, and learn, driving the development of a world-class product. • Supporting the Engineering Manager in continuously iterating on the company’s development processes. • Guiding design discussions and providing experienced insights to help the team balance flexibility, practicality, scalability, and performance. • Championing new technologies and enforcing best development practices. • Keeping a keen eye on the future while proactively and pragmatically addressing technical debt.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experienceIn-depth knowledge of Typescript & NodeJS • Experience in Agile development practices • Experience with RDBMS • Relevant experience in real-time, low-latency, high-frequency transaction-based systems • Ability to diagnose problems at any level (Client, HTTP/Network, Server, Database, OS) • Experience building applications across the stack, including designing for performance, reliability, and extensibility across various layers of the system, from the database to the server to the user's device • An insatiable appetite for learning • As an added bonus, you might: • Have exposure to the secondary languages we use in our stack (Ruby) • Have prior experience in ecommerce
