📋 Description
• Performs GIS system capabilities analysis, installs, tests, and validates operational automation and communications software as specified by installation standards, manufacturer's guidance, and licensing terms. • Develops, plans, and implements complex GIS applications software for the system users and operators. • Presents GIS system and cartographic mapping elements. • Coordinate and execute major data integration and data analysis projects facilitating in-house software products and Geographical Information Systems. • Integrates GIS elements with other technology for marketing and web based communication. • Responds to difficult inquiries from end-users, developers, contractors, and other customers regarding GIS requirements. • Participates in the development, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure the GIS software development and integration accuracy of GIS information is maintained. • Maintains a broad knowledge of software engineering including GIS and a demonstrated ability to independently work on complex assignments. • Ensures use of defined standards and processes that include formal documentation and code reviews for GIS software development.
🎯 Requirements
• B.S. in Engineering, Information Technology, or computer science • 8+ years of experience in GIS software development and integration (Additional experience may be substituted to meet the educational requirement).
