Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs • Conduct risk assessments and internal audits • Investigate potential compliance violations and provide mitigation recommendations • Provide compliance training to employees • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors • Prepare compliance reports for management • Review contracts and contract redlines to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies • Identify and flag potential compliance risks in contracts • Collaborate with legal and customer teams on compliance-related contract issues • Maintain library of contract documents • Maintain SOC 2 and HIPAA certifications • Oversee annual audit processes for these certifications • Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders • Implement and monitor controls required for SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance • Prepare documentation and evidence for audit reviews • Develop and execute remediation plans for any identified gaps or deficiencies • Identify and assess compliance risks, including those in contracts • Develop mitigation strategies for identified risks • Monitor ongoing compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations • Create and update policies and procedures related to compliance • Ensure alignment between compliance requirements and contracting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred • 3+ years of experience in compliance and managing the contract lifecycle, preferably at a SaaS company. Experience negotiating technology transactions and complex commercial transactions, with familiarity with legal issues surrounding Cloud/SaaS product offerings and software licensing • Strong knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and data security compliance frameworks and audit processes (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA) • Familiarity with contract review from a compliance perspective • Experience with various legal documents and contractual agreements, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and other commercial and government contracts • Strong project management skills and the ability to drive workflows from beginning to end • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with various audiences • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
