• Contribute to the migration efforts from Oracle to PostgreSQL • Rewrite the existing Java, Spring, and Hibernate applications to connect to PostgreSQL • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and integration • Identify and implement strategies to optimize database and application performance • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to best practices • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise • Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Java development • Strong understanding of Java, Spring, and Hibernate • 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining large-scale Java web applications • Familiarity with agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle • Leadership skills • Proficient in troubleshooting, bug fixing, and optimizing application performance • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software solutions • Proven track record of writing clear and comprehensive technical documentation
