Description

• MakerSights is looking for a part-time Sales Research Consultant to support our President in driving targeted business growth. • In this role, you’ll leverage your analytical and research expertise to uncover actionable insights on prospective customers, helping us shape our outreach strategies and enhance client relationships. • Through deep-dive research, industry trend monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, you’ll help us refine our approach to customer acquisition and identify high-impact opportunities to scale efficiently. • We anticipate this will be an average of 10 hours/week for three (3) months, with the opportunity to extend contract. • Conduct thorough research on prospective customers, via corporate filings, company announcements and secondary news sources, to understand their strategies and dynamic business goals, organizational design and key stakeholders. • Create detailed action plans for key prospect accounts, including tailored approaches to win over decision-makers and influencers within the organization. • Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to inform our approach to customer acquisition and growth. • Collaborate with the President to create tailored communication strategies aimed at generating new business and expanding relationships within current accounts. • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product) to align on customer engagement strategies that we can incorporate into communications. • In partnership with Marketing, develop / evolve cohorts within our ideal customer segments, as we look to scale and make our customer communication and acquisition more efficient. • Provide ongoing insights into broader market opportunities and challenges, guiding strategic decisions for revenue growth with MakerSights ideal customer profile.

Requirements

• Background in consulting, with a focus on strategic research, business development, or organizational design. • Familiarity with the apparel, footwear, or accessories industries is a plus but not required. • Experience working with complex organizational structures and matrixed environments. • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify and synthesize key business insights. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft persuasive messages for diverse audiences. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
