Description

• Responsible for designing innovative, cost-effective and customer-focused product solutions. • Focus on product cost optimization and support resolution of quality and manufacturing issues. • Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop customer-centric designs. • Reduces product costs and increases production throughput through innovative design simplifications. • Interfaces with all functions in the organization and administers required support activities. • Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and New Product Development to ensure designs are producible and robust.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of new product development experience. • Experience with Creo and Autocad for a few years (5+ years) preferred. • Windchill CAD data management experience. • Working knowledge of GD&T with ability to read and interpret documents. • Experience with project management and associated tools/techniques. • Understanding FEA and modeling analysis. • Experienced in DFMEA, RCCM and Stack up Analysis. • Experienced with rapid prototyping, testing methods and design of experiments. • Understanding of statistical process control and quality systems. • Familiarity and exposure to manufacturing processes including machining, brazing, buffing, plating, coating, plastic injection molding, rubber molding, casting, stamping and assembly.
