β’ Contract (1099) HCC Coding & Risk Adjustment Specialist position for Mass Advantage. β’ Fully remote work requiring up to 10 hours a week. β’ Responsible for reviewing clinical and coding documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
β’ Minimum of three (3) years of HCC and/or outpatient coding experience. β’ Minimum of two (2) years of supporting coding workflows within Epic. β’ Thorough knowledge of risk adjustment payment methodologies. β’ Thorough knowledge of ICD-CM (current edition). β’ Thorough knowledge of third-party payer requirements as well as federal and state guidelines and regulations pertaining to coding and billing practices. β’ Completion of Medical coding training and medical terminology from an accredited program required. β’ Must pass certification program within one year from hire date - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certification(s) as Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC).
