Description

• Support the Department of Veterans Affairs with technical and programmatic services. • Lead delivery of a Federal Agency’s Enterprise Security Architecture. • Provide thought leadership for new techniques in Enterprise Security Architecture. • Ensure compliance with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and federal mandates. • Integrate security best practices into automated systems against cyber threats. • Collaborate to develop architectures for automation workflows. • Design and implement automation frameworks for security processes. • Play a key role in incident response design and planning. • Mentor junior security professionals and foster continuous learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System Architecture, Telecommunication System, Design or related discipline • 7 years of relevant experience • Strong understanding of security principles, concepts, and best practices • Expertise in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) • Knowledge of cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience with security frameworks and methodologies (NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001) • Experience with integrating and configuring security tools such as SIEMs (Splunk), vulnerability management platforms, and automated threat intelligence into automation workflows • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in cybersecurity • Hands-on experience with Zero Trust security models
