• The Business Intelligence Specialist III is responsible for structuring the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. • Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities. • Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university. • 4+ years of advanced SQL coding/procedure development • 2+ years of experience/knowledge of the healthcare industry (i.e. PBMs, EMRs and Health Plans) is desirable • 4-7 years directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position • 4+ years of report development, troubleshooting, and support • Excellent written communication skills to deliver technical specifications and professional products • Excellent verbal communication skills to interview & gather requirements from business personnel • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills to understand how business works • Ability to analyze projects and solve complex problems or processes (specifically with business process automation) • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines • Strong knowledge of SQL, database tables, and structures • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence/Reporting platforms (such Power BI, OpenText Magellan, Business Objects, or SSRS) • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio • Experience participating in top performing teams and being a team player while also being able to work independently and self-learn as needed • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is preferred (VLOOKUP, data models, queries, etc…) • Knowledge of APIs, AI technologies, Databricks, and Fabric are preferred but not required
