• Michael Baker International is seeking a Electrical Engineer (Mission Critical/Data Center) who is highly motivated and demonstrates professional initiative. • The ideal candidate will be focused on achieving positive client outcomes and possess strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent technical and specification writing skills are required. • Responsibilities will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing members, and all other team members. • They will be responsible for developing feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigations, and overall construction administration.
• Strong organizational and time management skills. • Excellent technical and specification writing abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis. • Minimum of 10 years of consulting engineering experience in the design of high reliability electrical systems. • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems. • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, BIM Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software. • US Citizen. • Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience an architectural/engineering, or engineering consulting firm is desired. • Extensive knowledge of the NEC, uninterruptible power systems, power distribution, generator support systems, grounding systems, and one-line creation. • Strong desire to stay current with the trends of the fast-paced industry of mission critical. • Working knowledge of the following programs: Bluebeam Revu, SKM Power Tools (or similar power system analysis tools), CYMCAP (or similar programs based on Neher-McGrath and IEC-60287 methods), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
