• Michael Baker International is seeking a talented Rail Bridge Project Manager with a specialization in bridge design to help make a difference in our Rail and Transit Practice. In this role, you will report to the Director of Rail Bridge in Cleveland, OH. • We offer flexibility to work hybrid, fully remote, or onsite in any of our 100+ office locations nationwide. • The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience on design projects for US Class I railroads and/or rail transit agencies and be able to support projects and offices across the country for railroads, transit agencies, and DOTs.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Undergraduate focus or Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering strongly preferred. • 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in bridge design, rehabilitation, and construction with a railroad specialization required. • PE license required; NCEES record a plus. • Project experience and relationships with US Class I Railroads and/or local Rail Transit agencies required. • Familiarity with AREMA standards required. • Knowledge of CSX, NS, UP, BNSF, CP, and/or CN standards desired. • Project experience with local transit agencies and their standards desired. • Experience preparing and reviewing rail structure design plans and specifications. • Experience in construction phase services. • Experience with office software and CADD software.
