Description

• We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about data and data solutions, who can bring industry experience to aid the ongoing shaping of our data platform across our suite of SaaS products. • The Data Architect oversees the design, development, and delivery of our data platform. • They will oversee architecture and approach to our suite of products. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with experience in implementing strategic initiatives such as data centric system architecture, including the creation of a central data ontology, as well as core activities including data collection, data migration, integration, warehousing, laking, modelling and reporting. • This includes oversight of the development and implementation of processes to service requests for business intelligence from the company including reporting and dashboard development. • They are responsible for architecting the data solutions and ensuring that these solutions are scalable, sustainable and fit for purpose. • This will include regulatory compliance including data retention, data anonymisation, and data security e.g.; segregation. • They must be comfortable representing the function at senior management level. • The Data Architect also has a strong problem solving mind-set, avoiding work-arounds in favour of quality, long lasting solutions. • They are a key player in ensuring development standards are shared with the team and adhered to.

Requirements

• Good leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and be a role model. • Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic that can work with limited supervision. • Must have good analytical skills. • Communicates in clear and concise manner, written and verbal. • Co-operates, collaborates, and works toward common goal with others. • Show a highly committed attitude. • Must be methodical and accurate, showing great attention to detail. • Open and inclusive approach willing and able to interact internally and externally and at all levels within the company. • Organised and proactive self-starter. • Experience with a variety of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Graph) • Knowledge of data centric system design • Experience using Azure or AWS to deliver cloud first data solutions
