• Develop and Implement Privacy Policies: Create, maintain, and enforce privacy policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy standards. • Monitor Compliance: Regularly audit and monitor company practices to ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Identify and address any compliance gaps or risks. • Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs): Conduct and oversee DPIAs for new products, services, or initiatives that involve processing personal data. • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver privacy training programs for employees to ensure awareness and understanding of data protection responsibilities and practices. • Incident Management: Manage and respond to data privacy incidents, including data breaches. Coordinate with relevant teams to investigate, remediate, and report incidents in accordance with legal requirements. • Liaison with Regulatory Bodies: Act as the point of contact for data protection authorities and manage communications with regulatory bodies regarding privacy matters. • Contract and Vendor Management: Review and negotiate data protection clauses in contracts with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure compliance with privacy laws. • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate privacy risks associated with company operations, product development, and data processing activities. • Collaboration with Legal and Product Teams: Work closely with the legal and product teams to ensure that privacy by design and by default principles are integrated into the development of new products and services. • Stay Current on Privacy Laws: Continuously monitor changes in privacy laws and regulations and update company practices as necessary to maintain compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) is a plus. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy compliance, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry. Experience in ad tech is highly desirable. • In-depth understanding of global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. • CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or other relevant privacy certifications preferred.
