• As an Engineering Manager for the Insurance team, you will join our engineering team in building a fleet of simple tools to help parents stop procrastinating and start tackling their long term financial to-do lists. • You are self-motivated, can wear many hats, and are excited about the hybrid role of managing software engineers and writing code yourself. • We believe it’s critical to the success of both the manager and the engineer that the manager understands in practice the expectations of their reports. • Come join us as we re-make a $650 Billion industry and work to improve the lives of millions of families.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment. • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software engineering, particularly in backend technologies and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS). • Demonstrated ability to drive project execution, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality software solutions. • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience with QA processes, code reviews, and maintaining testing frameworks is highly desirable. • Familiarity with the insurance industry or a related field is a plus, but not required. • Joy in exploring and solving thorny problems. • Compassion for your coworkers and our customers. • Willingness to make mistakes.
