• MentorMate creates durable technical solutions that deliver digital transformation at scale by blending strategic insights and thoughtful design with brilliant engineering. • With mature and established practices in enterprise web and mobile development, quality engineering, technical architecture, human-centered design, cloud, DevOps, data, and analytics, the company provides challenging careers in a friendly and global people-oriented environment. • We value every team member and share our success through flexible working models, competitive pay and benefits, and advancement opportunities. • As part of global technology company Tietoevry Create, MentorMate enables people to work on impactful, global projects for recognizable brands and grow their careers in a team of over 10,000 experts. • We are looking to hire a Senior Android Developer who will join a project for a leading banking company in Canada. • In this role, you will contribute to the development of a wealth management system designed to help clients manage their assets and cash flow effectively. • The project will utilize a hybrid approach of Scrum and Kanban methodologies. • As part of this product-focused position, you will collaborate closely with key members of the client's team while also receiving guidance and support from MentorMate. • With over 20 years of industry experience, our mobile development team incorporates the latest mobile development technologies like Swift UI, Jetpack Compose, React Native, and Flutter, providing technical expertise to ensure success in all phases of the software development lifecycle. • Our experts develop outstanding native and hybrid mobile apps for smart sensors, medical equipment, thermal imaging cameras, building automation systems, farm equipment, and many others.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience developing native Android applications • Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java • Deep understanding of app architectures - MVVM, UDF • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) • Experience with Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin • Experience with Jetpack Compose and Coroutines • Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services • Experience with writing unit tests • Ability to meet tight deadlines and give accurate time estimates • Experience mentoring junior team members • A desire to constantly improve as a professional and stay on top of the cutting-edge technologies • Excellent spoken and written English
