📋 Description

• Metaculus is a leading public forecasting platform providing trusted insights on global challenges. • As Operations Lead, you will ensure Metaculus runs smoothly, supporting internal teams and external partners. • You'll manage HR operations, financial record-keeping, event planning, and improve operational workflows. • Help with forecasting tournaments, maintain tracking systems, and support analytics and reporting. • Work is fully remote with flexible hours, favoring collaboration between 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM PST. • Join a small, collaborative team valuing independent work and real-time interaction.

🎯 Requirements

• Operational Experience: 2+ years of experience in a business or nonprofit context, with demonstrated skills in bookkeeping/accounting, human resources, and/or general operations. • Tools: Experience with at least several of the following tools/platforms is important: Rippling, Deel, Ramp, Quickbooks Online, Notion. • Analytical Mindset: Strong data analysis skills with the ability to monitor metrics, identify trends, and propose actionable insights for operational improvements. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with various stakeholders across our internal team and with external partners. • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive approach to challenges, with the ability to think critically and navigate through operational issues. • Passion for Mission-Driven Work: An enthusiasm for contributing to Metaculus’ mission. • Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Forecasting: Understanding of crowd forecasting. • Proficiency with Tools: Experience with the operational and finance platforms we use: Google Workspace, Slack, Quickbooks, and Rippling are among the most important ones you would be interacting with on a day-to-day basis.
