• Seeking a Data Protector Implementation Specialist to lead the design, deployment, and migration of a new Micro Focus Data Protector 23.4 environment. • Project involves upgrading from Data Protector 10.80 to 23.4, implementing a new infrastructure on RHEL8, and ensuring a seamless migration of the Cell Manager internal database from the legacy system. • Role requires expertise in Data Protector architecture, backup strategies, and Linux-based deployments. • The selected candidate will build and document the first deployment, enabling internal teams to replicate the setup for additional environments.
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in Data Protector administration, upgrades, and migrations. • Expertise in Micro Focus Data Protector 10.x & 23.x. • Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL8), backup architecture, and tape library integration. • Experience with Oracle8 backup strategies and VEAgent configurations. • Ability to create detailed technical documentation and guide internal teams. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex backup environments.
