📋 Description
• Support the entire system development life cycle • Responsible for daily operations, monitoring, backup and recovery, performance tuning, installation, configuration and patching of databases • Assist the data analysis team with optimization of queries and data structures • Review and optimize logical data models/database scripts and implement them into the physical database
🎯 Requirements
• 4+ years’ technical knowledge and experience with Postgres in a production setting • Hands-on experience in database administration and performance tuning • NoSQL database experience, such as MongoDB is a plus • PostgreSQL Development experience is required • Experience with Shell Scripting • Experience with SQL development, data modeling and database security • Experience with Database backup, disaster recovery processes and procedures • Experience with SQL tools as required for the database solution such as pgAdmin or DataGrip • Experience with git or other source control software • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Very good communication skills and interpersonal skills • Experience responding to and resolving database access and performance issues • Experience interpreting database error messages and the ability to execute recovery of the database instance, data or other pertinent database components • Experience with PostgreSQL streaming Replication and Patroni • Good Experience with PostgreSQL Logical Replication • Experience with native PostgreSQL Table Partitioning • Experience with High Availability and Hot-standby servers • Experience with PGBouncer • Experience with PGBackrest • Experience with Docker Containers, docker-compose and Kubernetes when used with PostgreSQL • Experience with Time Series database such as TimescaleDB • Experience with Triggers
