• Midwestern Interactive is looking to add additional Senior Data Engineers to our team. • MWI is one of the fastest-growing embedded teams providers in the US. • Our team works hard so we can play even harder. • Our culture landed us a spot on Inc.'s List of Best Workplaces in 2022 and it keeps our team member retention rate over 90%. • We are relationally driven; this is a huge part of why brands like Lyft, Meetup, Coca-Cola, and plenty more trust us to embed into their team, culture, and success. • We have an amazing clientele and now we just need you to join the incredible talent who serve them. • As a Data Engineering contractor, you will work alongside the Senior Data Analyst with the client to support the development, improvement, and maintenance of advanced data analysis and visualization tools, primarily using SQL, dbt, and Mode. • You will assist in the creation of data-driven insights and best practices documentation to ensure optimal decision-making across the organization. • Responsibilities: o Analytics and Dashboard Assistance- Assist in developing, maintaining, and optimizing data models and pipelines using dbt and SQL. o Support the design and creation of interactive dashboards and visualizations using Mode to meet stakeholder requirements. o Collaborate with the Senior Data Analyst to integrate data sources and maintain data integrity across the organization. o Data Management and Analysis Support- Help gather, clean, and prepare data for use in ad hoc and ongoing analytical assets. o Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving company data integrity. o Assist in conducting in-depth analysis to address stakeholder requirements. o Best Practices Documentation- Support the documentation of SQL resources, data modeling techniques, and best practices. o Help maintain version control and best practices using GitHub for data analysis projects.
• Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, data manipulation, and optimization techniques. • Familiarity with Mode, dbt, and GitHub, with a demonstrated understanding of data analysis projects. • Passion for problem-solving, systems thinking, and constant improvement. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks simultaneously. • High level of written and oral communication skills. • Preferred: Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
• Work remote or in office in Downtown Joplin or Springfield MO. • Selected candidates will be placed in a contract pool where they can claim temporary roles with Midwestern clients. • Candidates may remain in the pool indefinitely. • Full-time or part-time hours during temporary contracts. • Contracts lengths will vary. • Opportunity to join the Midwestern team full-time.
