•Founded in 1994 and celebrating 30 years in business, Mindex is a software development company with a rich history of demonstrated software and product development success. •We specialize in agile software development, cloud professional services, and creating our own innovative products. •We are proud to be recognized as the #1 Software Developer in the 2023 RBJ's Book of Lists and ranked 27th in Rochester Chamber’s Top 100 Companies. •Mindex's Product Division is dedicated to creating innovative products from the ground up. •Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CloudOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. •AWS Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure for SaaS applications and external customers, ensuring optimal performance and security. •Implementation of automation tools and processes to streamline operations. •Monitoring systems to track AWS performance and security, and lead incident response efforts. •Collaboration with internal teams and external customers to ensure high-quality managed services. •Managing the budget for AWS Cloud Operations, optimizing costs while maintaining service quality. •Refining strategic direction into actionable projects for the CloudOps team.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field •AWS SysOps Admin Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, and preferably AWS Solutions Architect Professional. Specialty certifications in Advanced Networking and/or Security are a plus. •Minimum of five years of experience in Cloud Operations for native (incl. Postgres) and traditional Windows/.NET/SQL workloads, with at least two years in a leadership role. •Proficiency in AWS cloud services •Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services •Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) •Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills •Strong communication and leadership abilities •Preferred Experience: Previous experience working in environments compliant with NIST 800-53, ISO27001, SOC-2, or AWS MSP standards.
