•About Monite •Monite’s vision is to build a one-stop shop API infrastructure for finance & admin automation for SMEs. •We enable FinTechs, Neobanks, SaaSes and Payment companies with large business audiences to offer value-added financial services within their interface — Invoicing, Bill Pay & Expenses automation and compliance, Payment Rails, OCR processing, Projects & Time tracking, etc. •We target selling API product globally with the focus on the US & UK. •We are a remote-first company, but have offices in London, Berlin & Amsterdam and will have more all over the world. •We raised over €4.7mn in the pre-seed & seed rounds in 2021–2023 from several top European and US VCs and angels and are now on our way to Series-A funding. •We are looking for an experienced Head of Design who will own Design as an area for both Product and Marketing together with the team, spending most of their time in product design and guiding client implementations from a UX perspective, occasionally taking marketing tasks with the help of freelancers. •It's essential that you have strong skills and taste of beauty in both Product Design & UX research as well as Visual Design and Branding. •You'd be working closely with product managers on improving product usability and running the complete process to come to a better design solution working together and collaborating with clients and their end-users. •It's a key that you can quickly figure out new complex environments and build a process to find the right design solutions for them (e.g. how could an e-commerce platform offer AP Automation to clients). •At the same time, you need to have team leadership skills to hire, develop and manage a team of designers. •You'd be reporting directly to the CEO and working with a very senior team of product & tech professionals who have complementary expertise in areas like AP/AR Automation, API building, and more. The design currently has 2 product designers and occasional freelance marketing / brand designers. •Own everything design-related in Monite with the focus on product design. •Lead design team and establish clear design priorities across the company together with CEO, Head of Product, Head of Marketing and CS Lead. •Develop and maintain design process for internal products. •Develop and maintain design process for customer implementations. •Support collaboration with clients together with CS team, UX-research and enable the team on building well-tested designs. •Hire, develop and manage the design team. •Lead Monite's brand development together with CEO. •Lead key client implementations from a design perspective.
Requirements
•5–7+ years of overall product design experience •2+ years of team leading experience •Proven experience in UX/UX research and design usability testing •Proven experience in client collaboration in B2B environment •You are great in building design processes •You can easily find design solutions for new environments (e.g. our client's interface) •You can distinguish between assumptions and knowledge and are willing to pivot and iterate on everything •Skilled in MVPs — you know how to take a big idea and break it down to go with fast iterations and find PMF •You're proficient in documentation and you see the value in it •You're great in communication e.g. with clients or internal stakeholders •You're a strong team manager •Robust communication skills — you are used to working with diverse international teams in a fast-paced environment •You have an organized, independent & efficient working style •You are fluent in English.
