Description
• Significant ownership in growing usage of Monte Carlo's cloud application • Full production implementation • Monitoring & tracking outcomes of experiments • Post-release operations and collaboration with seasoned engineers • Building production-grade backend services and APIs • Formulating usability requirements and designs • Owning major projects from inception to deployment • Architecting flexible solutions and scaling them • Testing and operating code in production • Solving problems in ambiguous situations
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade backend code • Strong Python skills or mastery of similar backend technologies • Automated testing of work and following user traffic • Tech-lead critical projects or initiatives within your team • Experience in growth engineering or data-driven applications • Serverless applications experience with AWS and Lambda • Understanding of needs from data engineers and analytics teams • Familiarity with observability tools and debugging metrics • Understanding of business applications related to billing and payments • Collaboration in a remote-first environment • Urgency from user feedback and product vision • Pragmatic and biased towards action
