•About the Role •The Sourcing/Buyer Intern will support the Procurement/Supply Chain team in identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. •This role is ideal for fresh graduates, particularly those with a degree in Industrial Engineering, who are looking to gain hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management. •Key Responsibilities: •Supplier Research: Assist in identifying potential suppliers, analyzing their capabilities, and compiling data to support sourcing decisions. •Request for Quotations (RFQs): Help in preparing and sending out RFQs to suppliers, gathering and comparing quotes, and summarizing the findings for decision-making. •Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis and support negotiations with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms. •Order Management: Assist in the preparation and management of purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing. •Supplier Relationships: Help maintain relationships with existing suppliers and support the onboarding process for new suppliers. •Inventory Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid shortages or overstock situations. •Data Management: Update and maintain supplier databases, procurement records, and reports to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. •Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce costs. •Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. •Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure smooth procurement operations.
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. •High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. •Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus. •Eager to learn and apply new concepts. •Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. •Strong organizational and time management skills.
