Description

• Assess information and communication technology (ICT) for compliance with the latest versions(s) of Section 508 standards • Obtain Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR) from original equipment manufacturers (OEM) • Review ACRs to evaluate requested products conform to the Revised Section 508 Standards • Facilitate meetings with OEMs to assist with the facilitation of the completion of ACRs • Advise customers on criteria within ACRs where standards are only partially or not fully supported and provide recommendations to alternative products that will meet the customer’s needs • Participate and collaborate in discussions with NASA to determine alternative products that meet customers’ needs and obtain approvals to deviate from strategically sourced products that may not meet Section 508 standards • Maintain and manage documents in a NASA-provided repository or system • Track all Section 508 Compliance Review Requests through their lifecycles • Develop and deliver Section 508 Compliance Review Request reports • Provide data used for Section 508 reporting, compliance audits, annual reviews and continuous improvement initiatives • Provide training and support to staff on accessibility standards and best practices • Stay updated on the latest accessibility trends, tools, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred • 8 years’ experience • Minimum of 3 years of experience related to Section 508 compliance • Strong understanding of Section 508 Conformance standards and accessibility guidelines • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lync, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box • Experience obtaining Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates and Accessibility Conformance Reports from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) • Experience assessing information and technology compliance for Section 508 standards • Experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
