📋 Description
• Looking for a Manager of Data Engineering to join MyFitnessPal Data Engineering team. • Promote growth of direct reports through mentorship and coaching. • Develop relationships across engineering teams, project management, and product owners. • Assist in design of standardization, best practices, and governance. • Build and maintain pipelines using Airflow and dbt. • Integrate with services and systems across MyFitnessPal engineering teams. • Evaluate and improve existing pipelines, data models, and processes. • Support resolution of production issues across the Data Platform stack. • Engage in code-reviews, working with teammates to learn and grow.
🎯 Requirements
• 6 - 8 years experience in software or data engineering and development • Understanding of data modeling for analysis by business intelligence or data science teams • Experience with a variety of API design patterns, such as REST • Experience developing validation and data integrity frameworks • Experience building high volume data pipelines for downstream analysis supporting operational indicators • Experience mentoring teammates and colleagues • Experience with data at scale • Experience with a variety of data stores (e.g. Snowflake, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.) • Experience with Airflow and dbt • Familiarity with AWS and/or other cloud computing platforms
